Jets 3-3 Record- Real or Fake?

Lets take a look at the teams the Jets have won against:
Buffalo Bills 3-3
Miami Dolphins 3-3
Indianapolis Colts 2-3

All these teams have in common is that they all SUCK. Any good to decent team in the NFL should win against these teams and Jets have. But is that everything the record says about the Jets? Lets look at who they have lost against:

Pittsburgh Steelers 2-3
San Francisco 49ners 4-2
Houston Texans 5-1

Barring the Steelers losing record, all the above teams are playoff caliber teams. How can the Jets call themselves good if they can't at least beat one of them?

It's because the Jets record is FAKE. What separates playoff teams from middle of the road to losing teams, is that they can actually win against a team that's better. They don't have to win every game but, it should be split. The Jets are not a playoff team, they will continue to win games they should win and lose games that should be close or games in which the Jets are outmatched.

The games they have left are against:
Patriots
Dolphins
Seahawks
Rams
Patriots
Cardinals
Jaguars
Titans
Chargers
Bills

My prediction now:
 Patriots   L
Dolphins W
Seahawks L
Rams W
Patriots L
Cardinals up for grabs
Jaguars W
Titans W
Chargers L
Bills W

So miracles depending, The Jets are looking at an 8-8 record, not enough by any standard to make the playoffs. Maybe they might be able to pull off wins against the Cardinals or Chargers just because they're prone to losing on their own but the star would have to allign for any hope of this Jets team making the playoffs.

Season in Perspective

Here is a quick blurb on Jets season by a long time Jets fan with 20+ years of watch the struggle. Don't ask why he continues to watch them, only know he's ready to get real with them.

Mr. Jet When your team implodes at the end of last season and you basically keep the same players beginning with the quarterback, why are you expecting a different result?

This team has quit after only 4 games into the season. What is quitting? Besides being buried and shut out at home 34-0, how about getting a punt blocked by when San Francisco sends only one rusher. The Jets have been known to have great special teams year in and out but this game was a fiasco.

It's time to send the Sanchez-Ryan-Tennenbaum regime packing. Ryan's message has fallen on deaf ears. They do not practice hard enough on both sides of the ball and it shows on Sunday. Football is a game of emotion and preparation, and this team lacks both. Ryan come off as a clown who boasts of his team being "ground and pound", tough and his players being great. It really is just foolishness.

More and more this looks like a high school football team beginning with Ryan and Sporano down to lover boy Sanchez and church boy Tebow.

I am embarrassed with this team!

The problem starts at the top with rich kid Woody Johnson, in way over his head. Hey Woody just because you have money, doesn't make you smart. Nor does it mean you know what you're doing. Do us all a favor and SELL THE TEAM! For as long as you are the owner, this team will never be taken seriously.

First Post - The Jets 1st Quarter Review

If your not a Jet fan and ask someone how is  a moderate follower of the team, they might say, decent. The Jets have a 2-2 record still 1st in their division but they're not amazing by any means. If the Jets get better play out of their defense and offense they could do so much better.

Well lets take a real perspective on the Jets season so far.

First, this supposed 'run first' offensive team hasn't been running well. Late in games they've been throwing the ball and confused as to what to do next. It doesn't help that their quarterback play can't suffice and their offensive coordinator Tony Sporano(who hasn't been a coordinator ever in his career) hasn't been able to supply plays that would support the team he has.

Second, again is the quarterback play. Mark Sanchez has under a 50% completion rate when most quarterbacks in the league, to remain competent, have in the 60's. He seems to not be able to connect with his receivers as well as other quarterbacks, case and point when Sanchez is rushed often the receivers don't turn around to catch the ball because they are either not ready for it or not used to him actually throwing to them. Watch any Jet game and you will see at least 4-5 missed catches where Sanchez will overthrow the ball or the receiver doesn't know when to look to catch the ball.

Third, their defense stinks! If you have watched the Jets you know Darrelle Revis is the best play they have on defense. He is so good teams will refuse to throw anything to his side, and when they do its either incomplete or going the other way. It has stopped so many high powered offensive team like the Texans or the Lions from utilizing their main receivers. So much so they get angry and put up 200 yard games the following games.

This year unfortunately Revis came done with a conucussion and ankle injury, effectively ending his season. With the Jets now sporting cornerbacks Antonio Cromartie and Kyle Wilson, teams have been pouring on the yards.

Is there much more to say about the Jets other than how can this team compete with anyone else?
